PROFIBUS IO

Remote I/O modules communicating with PLCs via PROFIBUS DP and PA protocols.

DP/PA. Siemens-Compatible. Field Bus.

Busbeck PROFIBUS IO modules provide digital and analog I/O expansion on industrial fieldbus infrastructure. They offer deterministic data exchange with Siemens SIMATIC and other compatible masters over PROFIBUS DP (Decentralized Periphery).

Fast commissioning via GSD files, galvanically isolated interfaces and an industrial temperature range ensure reliable field connectivity in process automation, energy and building automation applications.

Siemens & Multi-Vendor Compatibility

Compatible with Siemens SIMATIC S7, S5 and other PROFIBUS DP masters. The GSD file enables integration into TIA Portal and STEP 7 environments within minutes.

Up to 12 Mbit/s Communication

Auto baud rate detection operates across a wide range from 9.6 kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s, automatically matching the optimal speed with all devices on the network.

Galvanic Isolation

Galvanic isolation between the PROFIBUS line and power supply eliminates ground loop and electromagnetic interference issues common in industrial environments.

Wide Field Application

Proven reliability across process automation, energy management, building automation and field I/O expansion applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How do I obtain the GSD file?

The GSD file is provided with the product or on request from the Busbeck technical support team. Once imported into TIA Portal or STEP 7, the device is automatically recognised.

02 How many slaves can be connected to one PROFIBUS segment?

Up to 126 addressed devices can be connected to a PROFIBUS DP segment. Using repeaters, the number of segments and total network length can be extended.

03 What is the difference between PROFIBUS DP V0 and V1?

DP V0 covers basic cyclic I/O communication. DP V1 adds acyclic services such as parameterisation and diagnostics, enabling the master to read and write slave parameters on demand.
