ISOTCP IO

Remote I/O module for Siemens S7 PLCs using ISO-TCP (RFC 1006) communication.

Built for Siemens S7. No Extra Programming.

The Busbeck ISOTCP IO module communicates directly with Siemens S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200 and S7-1500 series PLCs via the ISO-TCP (RFC 1006) standard. It delivers S7 communication over your existing Ethernet infrastructure — without expensive CP modules or additional hardware.

Native S7 Integration

Communicates directly via the Siemens S7 PUT/GET mechanism — no additional function block or library programming required on the PLC side. Fully compatible with TIA Portal and STEP 7 engineering environments.

Lower Cost

Delivers S7 communication over existing industrial Ethernet infrastructure without investment in expensive Siemens CP modules or additional hardware. Significantly reduces total cost of ownership (TCO).

Broad PLC Compatibility

Compatible with the full S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200 and S7-1500 range. Works seamlessly in both TIA Portal and classic STEP 7 environments — suitable for both legacy and new-generation PLC installations.

Easy Configuration

IP address, rack/slot number and data block mappings are easily configured via the web-based interface. No expert-level networking knowledge required — commissioning time is minimised.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 Is the ISOTCP IO compatible with the full Siemens S7 range?

Yes, it is compatible with S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200 and S7-1500 series. It works seamlessly in TIA Portal and classic STEP 7 engineering environments.

02 Is special configuration required on the PLC side?

No. Since the S7 PUT/GET mechanism is used, there is no need to write additional function blocks on the PLC side. It is sufficient to define the relevant data block in the PLC and ensure PUT/GET access is enabled.

03 What is the advantage over a Siemens CP module?

It offers a significantly lower-cost solution compared to Siemens CP modules. It also integrates via a standard RJ-45 Ethernet port — no proprietary cables or connection hardware required.

04 How many PLCs can connect simultaneously?

The module supports multiple simultaneous S7 connections. The maximum number of connections is configurable via the web interface — typically 4–8 concurrent connections are supported for standard applications.
