The Busbeck EtherCAT IO module is an EtherCAT slave remote I/O solution delivering microsecond-level cycle times over industrial Ethernet. It provides deterministic process data exchange for motion control, synchronised I/O and high-speed machine automation applications.
High Performance
Frame-on-the-fly processing over 100 Mbps full duplex Ethernet for low jitter and short cycle times. Ideal for multi-axis motion control and synchronised I/O scenarios.
Flexible Topology
Supports line, tree and daisy-chain topologies. IN/OUT RJ-45 ports allow modules to be chained with minimal switch requirements.
Master Compatibility
Fast integration into Beckhoff TwinCAT, CODESYS, Acontis and other EtherCAT master environments via ESI (EtherCAT Slave Information) files. Parameter access via CoE (CANopen over EtherCAT).

01 Which master systems does the EtherCAT IO work with?
It works with all systems compliant with the EtherCAT Technology Group standard, including Beckhoff TwinCAT, CODESYS, Acontis EC-Master and other ETG-compatible platforms. ESI files enable fast device definition.
02 How do I obtain the ESI file?
You can request the ESI (XML) file with the product or from the Busbeck technical support team. After importing into the master software, automatic device recognition is provided.
03 How many modules can be daisy-chained?
Total network length and cycle time depend on master configuration. Dozens of slave modules on a single line work reliably in typical applications; project-specific validation is recommended.
04 Can it be converted to PROFINET or Modbus?
The EtherCAT module operates directly with an EtherCAT master. For bridging between different protocols, consider Busbeck protocol gateway products.
